2019 MOUNTAIN LIONS Cross country season
Starts Monday, september 23 - Ends friday, november 1
The Mountain Lions Cross Country running program, provides a fun and encouraging environment for Elementary school aged children to learn the basics of XC running over a 6-week period. They will learn good running form, improve both strength and endurance, while in an environment focused on the enjoyment of running.
Mountain Lions is a proud partner of Lifelong Learning, and all of our running programs are held at Elementary schools within the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD). Practices are held twice a week after school, with one "introductory to XC racing" on Saturday October 19th at Centennial Middle School included in the program.
At the end of the 6-week program, all participants have the option to compete in the inaugural "Colleen De Reuck Cross Country Classic" to be held on Saturday November 2nd.
We are always looking for volunteer coaches! No prior coaching experience is necessary and we will provide full support with all the training needed. If you would like to be involved for our upcoming XC season, please email Lee Troop (Mountain Lions Program Director) email@example.com.
Sportsmanship is KEY to our Mountain Lions program! Good sportsmanship is when teammates, opponents, coaches and parents treat each other with respect.
I promise to follow the rules,
To be fair, To be a good sport and honor my teammates.
I'll remember to have fun too!
