Starts Monday, april 9 - Ends Saturday, may 19

The Mountain Lions track running program, provides a fun and encouraging environment for elementary school aged children to learn the basics of track middle distance running over a 6-week period. They will learn good running form, improve both speed and endurance in an environment focused on the enjoyment of running. At the end of the 6-week program, all participants are invited to compete in the inaugural Frank Shorter Track Classic to be held on Saturday May 19th and race over 1-mile.

Mountain Lions is a proud partner of Lifelong Learning, and all of our running programs are held at elementary schools within the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD). Practices are held twice a week after school, with one "introductory to track racing" on Saturday April 28th at Fairview High School as well as the Frank Shorter Track Classic event to be held on Saturday May 19th. Our aim is to provide the best program for the students and we are always looking for coaches and parent volunteers! No prior coaching experience is necessary and we will provide training and full support. If you would like to be involved for our upcoming track season, please email Jenell Archer (Mountain Lions Program Coordinator)

Make sure you bring your camera and autograph book!
